Morocco Informs on New Label and SAR Requirements

The National Agency for Telecommunications Regulation (ANRT) of Morocco has issued a Type Approval Decision outlining new labeling and SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) display requirements on January 20, 2025.

According to the decision, all approved devices must have an ANRT label with the certificate number. The label may appear in one of the following formats:

The ANRT Label must be clearly visible, legible, and indelibly applied on the device itself. If affixing the label directly to the device is not possible, it must be included in the accompanying documentation, packaging box, or provided as an electronic label (if applicable).

There is no specific information on dimensions for the ANRT label in the decision. However, dimensions of the label should correspond to product size. The text should not be too small and must be clearly readable.

Additionally, for each approved or accepted device that has transmission power exceeding 20 mW and is intended to be used at a distance of no more than 20 cm from the workplace, information about to the Specific Absorption Rate must be listed. This value should be clearly visible and legible.

The requirements come into force from May 1, 2025.
